Romans 5:5 NLT: “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” God desires us to experience His love in a way that goes far beyond head knowledge. He wants us to have a deep, emotional, and spiritual awareness of His presence. The Holy Spirit fills our hearts with God’s love, assuring us that we are deeply cherished by Him. His love fills every empty place in our heart, giving us strength, peace, and comfort, especially in difficult times. This love is not a fleeting feeling but a constant, life-sustaining experience we can rely on daily. When we go through trials, the Holy Spirit continually reminds us of God’s love, empowering us to persevere. Paul expressed this in his prayer for believers in Ephesians 3:18-19 NLT: “And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” One key to experiencing this love is daily surrender to God. When we release control and invite His presence, we experience His love in new ways. David prayed this simple surrender in Psalm 143:8 NLT: “Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.” Start every day focusing on God’s presence, surrendering and receiving His love—it will transform your life.
